ABU DHABI UNIVERSITY WELCOMES ITS STUDENT FOR THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR
Abu Dhabi University welcomed its 3689 undergraduate students for the 2009 - 2010 academic year on both its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses.
Abu Dhabi University Chancellor, Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, noted that the university offers 16 undergraduate programs and 6 postgraduate programs, while 6 new programs are currently under accreditation. These include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Education in Special Education, a Master of Engineering Management, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences.
The Chancellor highlighted that postgraduate programs will commence on the 4th of October, and the registration period for postgraduate students will run from the 30th of September until the 3rd of October. The deadline for submitting applications to the Admissions department will be the 3rd of October.
Abu Dhabi University is currently organizing a Swine Flu (H1N1 Virus) awareness campaign in cooperation with the health authorities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to familiarize students with precaution awareness.
