Al Ain Campus
Since its opening in 2003, the Abu Dhabi University Al Ain campus has grown substantially- both in faculty and students. In October 2006, it was home to more than 60 faculty and staff and over 670 registered students, representing more than 20 nationalities. The campus is housed in a modern building that contains 28 classrooms, 7 labs and audiovisual rooms, and 6 rooms with top of the range video-conferencing capabilities. Students have several recreational facilities, including a full-fledged library, cafeteria and outdoor courtyard.
The Al Ain campus holds community presentations several times a year on a range of topics, ranging from Strategic Planning to New Technologies. The technology on-campus gives students the opportunity to join classes taking place live at the Abu Dhabi campus through the advanced video-conferencing equipment. Faculty are friendly and are keen on making the Student Experience a great one, thus providing them with consultation and advice.
Students and staff are quite active in the Al Ain community and have held a variety of events over the years- from Blood Drives open to the public to Summer Camps for Kids. The activities are organized through a collective effort between faculty and students, and give the city's residents a chance to join Abu Dhabi University in bettering the city, and nation overall.
Al Ain, "The Garden City" of the Emirates, is part of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. Its high mountains and abundant greenery has made Al Ain a tourist hub for UAE visitors and residents. Its calm environment makes Al Ain a great getaway and a wholesome educational atmosphere.
The Campus is ideally located in the Maqam District of Al Ain, on Khalifa bin Zayed Road - approximately 1 km after Tawam Hospital. There are ample parking spaces available for students, faculty and visitors alike.
