The MS.c in Special Education encourages students to work more and think about the future of education in our countries in order to maximum potential in a challenging teaching and learning environment to support our students with special needs including the Gifted.The new approach in UAE and in many countries focused on Inclusive, Integration and diversity as a teaching and learning model used to enhance this challenging learning environment and experience need to develop and build our skills, abilities.
This program will include constructivist learning, interactive lectures, discussions, seminars, teamwork, case studies, simulations and field work. Successful adult learning requires that learning be value-based, student-centered, enquiry-based and hands-on active involvement of student. These learning activities will be guided by expert lecturers in their fields in order to support your professional development and learning.
People, who complete the MS.c, will be able to demonstrate that they have acquired the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for effective Special Education leaders to help and support the new approach in Education and Schools at all levels.
The MS.c in Special Education program has been designed to prepare current and aspirant leaders for services in the following critical areas:
- Planning, Supervision
- Curriculum Design.
- Professional development for teachers and staff.
- Instructional and New Technology Development in Special Education.
- Early Intervention.
- Measurement and Evaluations
- Community awareness and Family Counseling
- Work with Special Needs Persons.
- Research in the field of Special Education.
- Institutional Enhancement.

Admission Policy
- Candidates for admission must have an undergraduate degree in Education or psychology.
- Holders of non-education/ psychology degrees will be required to take the 4-5 of the pre-core courses specified below, as per the recommendation of the Program Director.
