PROGRAM MISSION
Today's business climate demands individuals who are equipped to manage human capital. The Master of Human Resource Management is a specialized program focusing on the effective management of a firm's ‘people' resource. The Master of Human Resource Management program will offer its students unique opportunities for advanced education in the field of human resource management as well as opportunities for leadership growth at personal and professional levels. It also aims to develop in students the attributes of effective decision making, financial awareness, strategic thinking and a global perspective.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
When you complete the program you will be able to:
- Apply various techniques to job evaluation and performance appraisal for an organization.
- Design different business strategies and determine the appropriate implementation methodologies (i.e. Balanced Scorecard) that would improve overall organization results.
- Analyze HR issues from an international perspective of today's global marketplace.
- Apply essential tools, concepts and theoretical foundations that relate to the realities of organizational behavior.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the strategic role of human resource management in organizations
- Design and analyze the impact of salary/finance related issues of a contemporary nature, such as Emiratization and the changing nature of work in a global world.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the labor law and social securities.
- Use qualitative and quantitative techniques and methods to demonstrate abilities of dealing with different issues in research.
ADMISSION
The admission requirements for The Masters Program in MHRM include the following:
Candidates for admission must have an undergraduate degree in a business subject or at least two years' experience in business.
Regular admission:
All students applying for admission need to have the following:
- A 3.0 CGPA (out of 4.0 point scale or its established equivalent), and
- Minimum English proficiency scores should be 213 computer-based TOEFL, 79-80 Internet-based TOEFL, 550 paper-based TOEFL held at ADU only or 6.0 in academic IELTS. (Exceptions to this include students who are native speakers of English who have completed their undergraduate education in an English medium institution in a country where English is the official language and students who were admitted and graduated from an English medium institution that can provide evidence of acquiring a TOEFL score of 500, or its standardized equivalent approved by the MHESSR, upon admission to the undergraduate program.
Probationary Admission
A student with CGPA of 2.5 or higher and a TOEFL score of 530, or its equivalent using a standardized test approved by the MHESR, may be probationary admitted to the Master of Science in Finance program provided the following:
- The student achieves a TOEFL score of 550 by the end of the first semester.
- The student takes a maximum of six (6) credit hours in the first semester during which they also take intensive English whereby he/she must achieve an average score of B in the credit courses taken.
A student with CGPA of 2.5 -2.99 and a TOEFL score of 550, or its equivalent using a standardized test approved by the MHESR, may be probationary admitted to the Master of Science in Finance program provided the following:
The student takes a maximum of nine (9) credit hours in the first semester whereby he/she must achieve an average score of B in the credit courses taken.
Mature Admission
CGPA of (2.0 – 2.5). The applicant has at least five years' experience in the administration/management field post the bachelor's degree
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
- Students must successfully complete all the course requirements - 33 credit hours.
- For graduation purposes, the students' cumulative GPA must be 3.0 or above.
ACADEMIC LOAD
- The total program load is 33 credit hours.
- The maximum academic load is 12 credit hours per semester
Study Plan
The normal duration of study is two (2) years or four (4) semesters. The minimum duration of study is one and half (1 1/2) years or three (3) semesters. The maximum allowable duration of study to complete the requirements for the MHRM program is five (5) years.
