Professor Christos Pitelis is the Dean of Abu Dhabi University’s College of Business. A Life Fellow of Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, he was director of the Cambridge-based Centre for International Business and Management (CIBAM) for 20 years. He was also founding Head of the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences at Brunel Business School, London.
An editor of the Cambridge Journal of Economics and literary executor of the collected papers of Edith Penrose, Professor Pitelis has researched and published ten books and over a hundred articles in leading journals including the Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, Leadership Quarterly, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and served on the editorial boards of Organization Science and Organization Studies.
He has consulted extensively for international organizations, governments, and NGOs on strategy, governance and policies for sustainable international competitiveness, and held visiting positions at the University of California Berkeley, MIT, China-Europe Business School, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Copenhagen Business School, University of St Petersburg, University of Utrecht and University of Technology, Sydney.
