Abu Dhabi University 4th Art for Autism competition April 2018

    In conjunction with April as an Annual Awareness month for Autism Spectrum Disorder, College of Arts and Sciences at Abu Dhabi University invites you to participate with 4th ADU Art for Autism competition April 2018.

    Art for Autism is an art competition that celebrates the often overlooked creativity of people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and educates the community on their talent, dispelling several myths on Autism Spectrum Disorder.

    Application starts from 7th January to 28th February 2018.

    Category A: Children aged 6-11 Category B: Young people aged 12-25

  • Guidelines Regarding All Submissions

    Guidelines Regarding All Submissions:

    1. Each entry can only be entered into one category and must be accompanied by a fully completed entry form.
    2. Every entry submitted, that doesn’t make it through to the Finalists Stage, will receive a (Certificate of Creativity). 
    3. The original work in the 2D category must not exceed A3 size and must not project off the surface more than 2.5 cm.
    4. The A3 size print measures 29.7 x 42.0 cm, 11.69 x 16.53 inches. 
    5. The original work in the digital photography category must not exceed A4 size and must not project off the surface more than 2.5 cm. 
    6. The A4 size print measures 21.0 x 29.7 cm, 8.27 x 11.69 inches. 
    7. Entries in the 2D and digital photography categories must be submitted via E-mail to: artforautism@adu.ac.ae or by mail.
    8. Finalists will be notified that they are on the finalists’ shortlist by 15th March 2018 and will be invited to send their original piece of art to the judges for final judging. 
    9. In each category and in each level, there will be three prizes each given in the 2D and digital photography categories - a prize for the artist and a prize for the center or organization identified on the artist's entry form. 
    10. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the competition, the decision of the judging committee shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
    11. The Award Committee reserves the right to amend these rules, substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
