    Who is the DBA program designed for?

    The DBA is a executive doctoral degree designed to enhance executive and professional practice. It is designed to strengthen both the capability to develop knowledge and theory, as well as the application of it.

    The DBA program will be of particular benefit to experienced senior executives, consultants, management educators and business school academics.

    How long will it take to complete the DBA program?

    The DBA is a part-time cohort-based program in which students will take 14 in-class courses over 28 months followed by the writing of a doctoral dissertation over a period of 10-20 months.

    Phase 2: Dissertation: The second phase prepares students to:

    • Develop knowledge of and competency in general Management areas.
    • Develop advanced oral and written communication skills.
    • Develop research proposals and demonstrate ability to do research.
    • Develop and defend research proposals and demonstrate ability to conduct research.
    • Carry out data collection and analysis exercises.
    • Report research results in various forms and formats.

    Who will teach me?

    The DBA courses are taught by senior faculty members experienced in teaching doctoral courses and directing doctoral research. The program is designed to enable students to have internal and external examiners on dissertation committees to enable students to work with a large network of experts from around the world in their areas of research. These faculty members have impressive academic credentials from prestigious universities from around the world.

    As mentioned earlier, the DBA is an executive doctoral degree designed to enhance executive and professional practice. It is a versatile degree that prepares executives for leadership positions within the private and public sector.

    In addition, being that the DBA is the highest academic degree available in Business programs, it qualifies you to be a faculty member and thus teach at universities around the world.

    How do I apply / application criteria?

    The DBA program consists of 2 sequential phases – Coursework (42 hours) including Research Proposal preparation, and a Dissertation (24 hours).

    Eligibility for Admission to Phase 1 of the Program:

    • Masters Level (MBA or related discipline).
    • CGPA= 3.5 (3.00 – 3.49 will be considered based on performance in GMAT test).
    • Three Professional Recommendation letters.
    • TOEFL 550/ Academic IELTS 6.
    • Evidence of at least 2 years of work experience at the middle to upper management level.

    Eligibility for Entry into Phase 2 - the Dissertation Phase of the Program:

    • CGPA = 3.5.
    • Research Proposal / Defense = Pass.
