    Tuition is based upon the College and/or Department classification as opposed to the course classification or level. Tuition rates for undergraduate students vary from the tuition rates for graduate students. Costs of books and supplies are not included in the Tuition and Fees. Students at Abu Dhabi University are also required to pay certain fees and other costs to attend the University.

    Abu Dhabi University reserves the right to change tuition and fee rates at any time. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.

  • Payment Policy

    Latest payment policy

    • Students can choose their suitable way to pay their tuition fees from different methods. Cash, cheques, credit card, bank transfer and online payment.
      If you wish to pay by bank transfer you need this information:

      Note: Make sure to include the student ID Number in the payment details to identify your payment.
    • If you wish to pay your tuition fees by cheque please make it payable to Abu Dhabi University.
    • You can also pay your tuition in full as cash payment, online payment or using a valid credit card (American Express cards are not accepted in ADU payment)
    • Each student who enrolls at ADU must choose one of the following plans and finalized the arrangements with the office of Finance:
      Option 1 – Pay in Full:
      Full payment is due during the first week of registration.
      Option 2 – Two Installments:
      The first payment is 50% of the total tuition fees due during the first week of registration and the second is a post-dated cheque one month after the first payment. A collection fee of 100 Dirhams will be charged.
      Option 3 – Three Installments:
      The first payment is 25% of the total tuition fees during the first week of registration with three monthly post-dated cheques. A collection fee of 300 Dirhams will be charged (AED 100 /-per postdated cheque).

    Note:
    * For returned cheques from the bank, a bounce penalty fee of AED 500/- will be charged to the student on each cheque.
    * Online credit card payment (24 hours a day, 7 days per week).
    * At any ADIB branch (at any time the bank branch is open).
    * Cash at the counter.
    * Credit card at the counter.
    * Postdated cheque(s) (incurs a service fee).

    Refund policy :

    A refund processing fee of AED 100/-is charged to students who drop courses during the refund period and decide to receive a cheque for the refunded amount. If the student decides to keep the amount in his/her account, no fee will be charged.

    Any overpayment amount will remain in the student account and will be deducted from next semester's fees. If a student wants a refund of the account balance, three cases are possible:

    • If the overpayment is less than AED 2,000/-, no refund will be made on a priority basis, but should occur in about 15 working days.
    • If the overpayment is equal or higher than AED 2,000/-, the refund will be made on a priority basis, within 5 business days.
    • If a student is:
      a. graduating the same semester, or
      b. withdrawing from the University, or
      c. receiving scholarship or sponsorship support, than his/her overpayment balance will be refunded at no extra charge and given priority service.

    No refund processing fee will be charged if ADU decides to cancel the class.

    Refund Period

  • Refund

    Refunds are governed by the following regulations and will be processed within15 business days of request

    In the event that a student withdraws or dismissed from all classes during the semester or withdraws from partial classes during the semester, refunds will be calculated according to the following schedule:

    The refund Periods for Fall and spring Semester:

    During the first week (Drop and Add week) ** 100%
    During the second week 75%
    During the third week 50%
    After third week 0%

    **check the university Academic Calendar for dates of Drop/Add.

    The refund Periods for summer credit courses:

    The First and Second Days of Classes 100%
    The Third and Fourth Days of Classes 75%
    The following Two business days 50%
    After this period 0%

    A refund Fee will be charged according to the following:

    • AED 60/- fee charged to students who drop courses during refund period and decide to refund the amount paid
    • AED 80/- fee charged to students who made an over payment and decides to refund the balance
    • No fee will be charged if Abu Dhabi University decides to cancel the class.
    • No fee will be charged on the case of postpone semester/withdraw university
