The four-day program featured a hybrid 36-hour hackathon, workshops, mentorship sessions, guest speakers, community initiatives, and a final in-person demo day and awards ceremony. The initiative focused on empowering students and Emirati youth to develop smart, sustainable solutions addressing challenges within rural and remote communities.
Through its participation, ADUi contributed academic expertise through faculty, mentors, and judges, while supporting the development and evaluation of solutions based on creativity, feasibility, community value, sustainability, and scalability.
The collaboration reflects ADUi’s commitment to experiential learning, youth empowerment, and university–community collaboration, creating opportunities for students to apply their skills to real-world challenges and develop innovations with the potential for further incubation and development.
