The Research Institute for Sustainable Futures at Abu Dhabi University is dedicated to advancing research and fostering strategic partnerships with industry, policymakers, and the community to accelerate the transition toward a resilient and sustainable future, both in the UAE and globally.
Focusing on key research themes such as urban sustainability, renewable energies, energy storage, sustainable agricultures, climate change, and water management solutions. We aim to develop impactful projects that not only benefit the UAE but also extend our reach to support global industries.
Abu Dhabi University has recently been invited to become part of the Future17 SDGs Challenge. Future17 is a by-invitation only Consortium of leading universities, founded by QS Quacquarelli Symonds and the University of Exeter, that have agreed to collaborate in research and the development of an international program to develop 21st century skills, which addresses UN Sustainable Development Goals. This involves students from all of the academic parties collaborating together on projects proposed by companies, global organizations and charities.
