Collaboration Model

You will work in a team of five students from a variety of disciplines and universities worldwide, guided by two academic mentors drawn from the program's global partner network. Each team is assigned to a partner organisation (e.g., corporate organisation, public entity, charity, or NGO) located anywhere in the world. The partner sets a real-world SDG-focused challenge. With mentor guidance, your team will collaborate to research the problem, ideate solutions, and develop a practical, well-argued proposal. The program culminates in a showcase event where teams present their proposed solutions to the partner organisation.
Abu Dhabi University's participation in the Future17 program reflects our commitment to aligning higher education with the UN Sustainable Development Goals through a structured and accountable approach that places students at the heart of global issues. As a university based in the United Arab Emirates, we are pleased to be part of this international consortium, contributing to a shared global effort while ensuring our students are prepared to engage responsibly with the societal and environmental priorities reflected in the SDGs.
Sincerely,
Prof. Ghassan Aouad
