To be nationally and internationally recognized as a collaborative institute, that unites clinical expertise and biomedical researchers as a global interdisciplinary team; for advancing translational cancer research for personalized cancer care in the UAE.

Advance translational research through collaborative projects and interdisciplinary research activities.

Engage key stakeholders in Government/private sector for expert recommendations and technology transfer.

Support national and international funding opportunities.

Facilitate industry partner engagement through invited talks, conferences, and events.

Provide infrastructure for cancer research while maintaining highest professional standards and ethical research practices.

The goals of the Cancer Research Institute

The overarching goals of the Institute are:

  • Policy & Translation

    Support policy formulation for implementation of high impact translational research within UAE.

  • Global Research Networks

    To mobilize ADU faculty and our national/international networks to support formation of global interdisciplinary research teams.

  • Knowledge & Technology Transfer

    Enhance knowledge sharing and technology transfer on cancer research activities nationally and internationally.

  • Innovative Cancer Research

    Develop novel research themes in precision and personalized cancer medicine to improve patient outcomes in UAE. 

  • Clinical–Research Integration

    Unite clinical expertise and cancer researchers for conducting research on key cancer priority areas as identified by healthcare regulatory bodies in UAE.
