The Cancer research Institute at Abu Dhabi University will conduct cutting edge translational research to advance personalized cancer care in the UAE by uniting clinical expertise and biomedical researchers.
The Institute will develop novel research themes in precision and personalized cancer medicine for key cancer priority areas in the UAE and play a significant role in diagnosis, prognosis and prevention strategies in cancer patients. It will also support policy formulation, knowledge sharing and technology transfer both nationally and internationally through global interdisciplinary research.
To achieve its mission, the ADU-Cancer research Institute has established five divisions which are Genomics and Bioinformatics, Biomarker Research, Drug Discovery and Development, Bioengineering and Machine Learning, and Public Health and Cancer Informatics. Each division is comprised of distinguished ADU faculty, and international and national members who will take the shared responsibility of achieving the goals of each division.
