The focus of Law and Security Futures Research Center on legal futures will allow this research center focus on the legal challenges of tomorrow in key important areas to the UAE economy including (but not limited to): cybercrime, fintech, AI, law and technology, sustainability, finance, energy, infrastructure, arbitration, banking and sovereign wealth funds.
At Law and Security Futures Research Center research will address these core issues that will affect society and commerce for this and future generations through to the year 2100.
Already the College of Law has key expertise in a range of these areas and we want to grow it further with external support for continued focused research in these core areas and including interdisciplinary and industry collaboration.

Our aim is to become a national, regional and international leader in ‘legal futures and security’ research. Through our focus on legal futures we can address the problems of tomorrow and become world leaders in this research area.
