Dr. Touseef Amna

Associate Professor, Microbiology , Al-Baha University, Saudi Arabia

Dr. Touseef Amna is working as Associate Professor of Microbiology at Al-Baha University, Saudi Arabia. She has been figured among the

World’s Top 2% Scientists. Dr. Touseef Amna received her PhD

in 2006 from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU, Central University), India and during that period, was able to isolate Camptothecin, a vital anticancer drug, from an endophytic fungus. This groundbreaking discovery, the first of its kind globally, has led to US patent and publications. She has been a recipient of numerous prestigious

awards and research grants, further underscoring her distinguished contributions to the scientific community. She has two patents (US patent and Korean) to her credit, authored one book, 18 chapters

and more than 100 research articles with current h-index 34 and i10-index-72 total citation of 4,650 to date.

She is Editor, certified reviewer, Guest Editor and Editorial board

member of various national and international journals of repute.

Her research interest consists of design and synthesis of micro/nano biocompatible scaffolds for biomedical and environmental applications.
