Dr. Arif Hussain is a distinguished academic leader and Professor, currently serving as Chairperson of the School of Life Sciences at MAHE Dubai. He has played a pivotal role in shaping the school’s academic vision, developing cutting-edge curricula, and establishing a robust research infrastructure.
His research centers on Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine, with a particular emphasis on the molecular mechanisms of cell death (apoptosis), epigenetic regulation, and drug resistance in cancer. Dr. Hussain’s work aims to uncover novel molecular targets for therapeutic intervention, contributing to the advancement of personalized cancer treatment strategies. His research group adopts a multidisciplinary approach, integrating methodologies from cell biology, genomics, and proteomics.
