Dr. Yassine Chami is a legal scholar specializing in civil procedure law. Since August 19, 2024, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the College of Law, Abu Dhabi University. Before joining ADU, he held academic positions at Dhofar University in Oman and Tissemsilt University in Algeria.
He holds a Doctorate in Law (2017) and a Master’s degree in Procedural Law (2012) from the University of Tiaret, Algeria. His doctoral thesis focused on The Principle of Adversarial Proceedings in Civil Litigation, and he was later awarded a university qualification certificate from the University of Djelfa in 2019.
Dr. Chami has been recognized for his academic excellence, notably receiving the Best Researcher Award from Dhofar University’s College of Law in 2023. His research outputs have been published on well-known academic platforms such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate.
His research interests span civil liability, electronic litigation, public contracts, and economic law. He is an active member of several research committees and serves as a collaborating researcher with the European Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He has also participated in multiple international research projects and academic partnerships across institutions in the Middle East and North Africa.
In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Chami has contributed to academic governance, curriculum design, and program development in higher education. He continues to advance legal scholarship and education through his teaching, research, and institutional service.
