Water scarcity remains a critical challenge in arid and resource-limited regions, particularly in refugee camps and remote communities without a centralized water infrastructure. This study presents the design, development, and testing of a solar-powered Atmospheric Water Harvesting (AWH) system that integrates Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Vapor Compression Refrigeration (VCR), and Thermoelectric Coolers (TECs) to efficiently capture and condense water vapor from ambient air.
The purpose of this grant is to strengthen research capabilities at Abu Dhabi University. The grant provides funding for research projects that will elevate Abu Dhabi University’s reputation as a key UAE research institution.
The recipients of the Research Incentive Grant will be expected to publish the results of their work in a refereed journal/conference proceeding and to participate in ADU’s research conference.
