Dr. Sarah Al Hashimi
Sarah has been an active member of CASE for the past 15 years, representing Abu Dhabi University (ADU) with distinction. Over her 17year tenure leading the University’s advancement efforts, she has played a pivotal role in shaping ADU’s development strategy and strengthening its philanthropic impact.A CFREcertified advancement professional with research interests in sustainable giving, Sarah has championed multiple initiatives that have significantly contributed to the University’s mission. Throughout her career, she has supported more than 4,000 students in completing their education and has led successful annual giving campaigns for over 15 years, including the University’s signature Zakat Drive, which has enabled thousands of deserving students to access financial support aligned with UAE philanthropic values.
In January 2026, she played a key role in establishing ADU’s first endowment—two dedicated buildings whose proceeds are allocated to supporting deserving students. This milestone marked a major step in ensuring longterm financial sustainability for student scholarships and reinforced ADU’s commitment to accessible education.
In recognition of her leadership and impact, Sarah was appointed as an advisor and keynote speaker at the CASE Middle East Advancement Symposium (MEAS 2026). She successfully hosted the symposium at Abu Dhabi University, further strengthening ADU’s position as a regional leader in advancement and university development.
Under her leadership, ADU has built a strong and diverse community of supporters, including highnetworth individuals, corporations, NGOs, and government entities. Sarah’s work has positioned her as a prominent figure in the advancement and development sector both regionally and internationally. She has consistently represented the UAE on national and global platforms, amplifying the country’s leadership in highereducation advancement and philanthropy.
