Welcome to the College of Engineering at Abu Dhabi University. We have achieved a great deal since our inception in 2007.
With a presence in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai, you will be joining the largest engineering college in the UAE. In 2018 we had almost 2,700 students, 17 diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs, 58 full-time faculty carefully selected from top engineering schools in North America, Europe and Australia, and 15 full-time teaching and laboratory assistants.
Our programs are developed in response to industry demand, and are designed in line with international standards, leading to an employment rate of 90% within a year of graduation. We pride ourselves on the agility of our curricula, responding quickly to technological advances, guaranteeing you will graduate with the skills and knowledge relevant to the needs of the market.
In 2017 we opened a brand-new, purpose-built College of Engineering building and an extensive laboratory infrastructure - among the best in the UAE - spans more than an entire floor of the College.
Joint research projects between our experienced faculty and their international peers guarantee you will be taught by a professional team of engineers up-to-date with the latest advancements in their fields. Active partnerships with top-ranked international engineering schools include the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Purdue University, and the Indian Institute of Technology. Collaboration with industry and association with international professional engineering and architecture bodies ensure ADU’s College of Engineering remains at the cutting-edge of developments in the fast-changing field of engineering and technology.
You will be encouraged to hone your technical, professional and team working skills through participation in both national and international competitions covering a range of engineering disciplines, building on our excellent track record in such events. You will gain valuable industry experience at undergraduate level through a six-week internship, and you will have the opportunity to join a student chapter of a professional engineering body relevant to your discipline, membership of which will stand you in good stead throughout your career.
In the College of Engineering, you will feel part of a community. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to learn more. I will be happy to offer any assistance I can.
