Rema Menon V is the Founder and Director of Counselling Point Training and Development, a small counselling centre with a big vision. The centre is licensed by KHDA and Dubai Economic Department. She holds a Master of Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Stella Maris College and a Bachelor of Science from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. She has over three decades of experience in the areas of education and child welfare. Until last year, Mrs Menon was a visiting counsellor at BITS Pilani - Dubai Campus. She serves as the counselling partner of the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) and the International Education Show, hosted at the Expo Center Sharjah. She regularly contributes to the Gulf News and Khaleej Times and is frequently invited to share her views on careers, education, and adolescent issues.
For the past ten years, Mrs Menon has published a book titled ‘Head Start for Higher Studies’ distributed free of charge to school students and their families. She also hosts a seminar to promote early planning for higher education options by inviting speakers representing top education destinations, including the USA, UK, Canada, and the UAE. During the seminar, she presents an overview of the prerequisites for entry, the financials involved, visa regulations, and student life. In addition, she is often invited to share her expertise and coordinate education-related events and has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally. Counselling families and young adults are her callings, and many of the students she has counselled are now well-established names in their chosen fields.
