Use of Technology in Hybrid Education

Technology has come to dominate the educational landscape providing solutions to assist and enhance student learning and performance, optimize learning environments, enrich educational content and improve teacher knowledge and skills acquisition and pedagogical skills.

The 21st century - and beyond - educators are faced with many challenges to which they are asked to respond in an urgent and effective manner. New skills and new thinking is required to respond effectively to change.

The current course is addressing these novel concerns offering updated knowledge, skills and best practices in instructional design, educational technology and its integration in educational settings, distance learning, online assessment and artificial intelligence applications for education. The future of education is highly technological with new ideas, new philosophies and new pedagogical models emerging. It is anticipated that the current knowledge and skills in this course will help teachers to connect and become familiar with anticipated changes in pedagogy, integration of technology and most importantly to understand the need for a change in mentality and approach of the teaching profession.
