Aside from adhering to all directives from the authorities, we have also implemented the following:
- Campus Cleaning
In compliance with the Department of Health’s precautionary measures to limit transmission of COVID-19 disease, deep cleaning and disinfection are being carried out on campus.
- Crisis Management Group
We have established a Crisis Management Group to coordinate ADU’s response to COVID-19. The group meets on a daily basis and has been dealing with the implementation of the various government circulars and other steps to safeguard our community.
Cybercriminals are taking advantage of the COVID-19 emergency because it gives them a plausible reason to contact you with a phishing scam. Here is a sample of a suspicious email attempting to scam you under the guise of an informational message from the World Health Organization:
Take a close look; you will see it is fake:
- Confusing subject line
- Purpose of the message is not clear
- Grammatical and spelling errors
- Fabricated email signature
- A link directing you to enter username and password
IGNORE. DO NOT reply to this kind of email
NEVER click any links in suspicious emails
All official communications with regards to the status of COVID-19 will come from an official ADU email. If you suspect that you have received a phishing email, please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact 02 5015959.
