Professor Esameldin Agamy is the Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. With over four decades of academic and leadership experience, he has played a pivotal role in driving institutional development, academic quality assurance, and strategic planning within the region’s higher education landscape. Professor Agamy holds a Ph.D. in embryology from the University of Reading, UK (1988) and has a distinguished academic background with tenure at several regional and international universities.

Research Interests

Prof. Agamy’s research focuses on developmental biology and embryotoxicology, with particular interest in the effects of environmental pollutants and herbal compounds on embryonic development. He also explores gene expression and histopathological analysis in animal models.
