Dr. Ulviyya Abbasova

Dr. Ulviyya Abbasova is an Associate Professor and the Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), where she also serves as the university's lead coordinator for QS World University Rankings. She plays a key role in developing strategic initiatives to elevate ASOIU’s global standing and academic reputation.

She holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Translation (Linguist-Translator) from the Azerbaijan University of Languages, and earned her PhD in Philology in 2016. Beginning her academic career in 2003 as a lecturer in the Department of Translation, Dr. Abbasova has since held several prominent academic and administrative roles.

Previously, she served as Head of the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism Department at Baku Slavic University and represented the university in China under the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, promoting international cooperation.

An active contributor to Erasmus+ projects, Dr. Abbasova has participated as both a staff member and project expert. She also oversees APTIS and IELTS exam coordination at ASOIU, supporting English language advancement for students and faculty.
