
Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar and Permanent Representative to IRENA since August 2022
Ms Natalia Al Mansour started her diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004. Her first posting was at the Slovenian Embassy in Tehran (2005-2008), including during the Slovenian EU Presidency (first half of 2008) and encompassed political, economic, cultural and consular affairs. In 2009, Ms Al Mansour was posted as Consul at the Slovenian Embassy in Prague. In 2010 and 2011, she was part of the team working on Slovenian development policy and strategies in the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the years 2011 – 2015 she was posted as First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission of the Slovenian Embassy in Cairo, covering not only relations with Egypt, but also with Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Between 2015 and 2019 she was posted as the Slovenian delegate to the MaMa and MOG Working Groups at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Slovenia to the EU in Brussels, in the years 2018-2019 also serving as Deputy PSC Ambassador. Between 2019 and 2022 she was Head of Department for Africa and Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
Between November 2018 and May 2021 Ms Al Mansour had an additional role as Coordinator for Equal Opportunities of Women and Men at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia.
She is a mother to a son and a daughter.
