If you have ever dreamed of starting your own business but did not quite know how to, then this module will give you the general skills and competencies to get started.


As well as introducing the camp overall, it focuses on identifying and analyzing business opportunities and critically evaluating their market potential. The module applies design thinking philosophy and service design approaches, featuring inspiring case studies and exercises. The key concepts include idea generation, opportunity analysis, value proposition, market analysis, and business model design

Dr. Petra Joanna Turkama

Dr. Turkama is an innovation management professional with vast experience of directing, delivering, and promoting academic institutions, innovation and research projects, and educational programs in Far East Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

She is a scholar with broad-based, multi-disciplinary research experience in ICT innovation, service science, organizational management, and policy studies. With 10+ years of industry experience in technology management, marketing, and business development in the telecommunications industry, Dr. Turkama teaches courses in innovation and technology management and entrepreneurship at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. She is an active contributor to international innovation and technology management conferences, publications, committees, and boards, with her areas of specialization being Innovation Management, Technology Management, Entrepreneurship, and Business Models.
