This program focuses on the financial aspects of business operations and provides a strong platform on which to build a career in either the finance or business sectors. It will help you unlock the mysteries of the financial markets, examining the function and operations of the stock market, bond market and foreign exchange market. You will be exposed to the links between finance disciplines and other business functions and how this affects the success of any business.
You will study all areas of finance including personal finance, financial management, management of financial institutions, investment and portfolio management, and international finance and learn how to measure and manage financial risks and apply problem-solving techniques to financial issues.
Common across all specializations in the Bachelor of Business Administration programs are courses that will provide you with a solid foundation to communicate effectively, carry out research, understand legal, social, professional and ethical responsibilities in a business environment, apply analytical and critical thinking to business issues, use information technology effectively and understand the dynamics of a complex global business environment.
Our program undergoes a rigorous process of continuous improvements to ensure it stays relevant and in line with developments within the world of business.
Through our agreement with the International Financial Consultants (IFC), our program is unique in the UAE as it entitles our students with industry experience to Certified Financial Consultant (CFC) status. In additional, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) exempts our students from five out of 12 courses required to attain their professional certifications. This is testament to the alignment of our finance courses to the needs of the industry.
"The first thing that comes to mind when I think about ADU is the excellent instructors. They manage the balance between challenging and nurturing perfectly. They always made me feel like a valued member of their team rather than ‘just’ a student.
A great example of this was when I was nominated to participate in the UAE Undergraduate Research Competition – I was invited to meetings and discussions on equal terms with my instructors . One of my proudest moments in ADU was receiving the ‘Overall Award of Excellence’.
This is an annual award based not only on academic excellence but also active involvement in extra-curricular activities. My ADU experience prepared me in so many way for this amazing achievement."
Tuition is based upon the College and/or Department classification as opposed to the course classification or level. Tuition rates for undergraduate students vary from the tuition rates for graduate students.
The tuition fee calculations are an example only and are based on the assumption that elective courses will be taken with the College that the student is taking their major with. However, if the student selects elective courses outside of this College, the total cost payable may increase or decrease to reflect the tuition rate of the College where the elective is delivered.
Costs of books and supplies are not included in the Tuition and Fees. Students at Abu Dhabi University are also required to pay certain fees and other costs to attend the University. Abu Dhabi University reserves the right to change tuition and fee rates at any time. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.
