Overview

The Master of Project Management (MPM) program at Abu Dhabi University is offered by the College of Engineering (CoE) in collaboration with the College of Business. The program accepted the first cohort of students in Spring 2013.

The program is designed to be in line with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI: www.pmi.org). This prepares the students to take the exam of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the PMI and makes the program more attractive to professionals and engineers who plan to become certified Project Managers.

The program curriculum consists  of 10 courses (30 credit hours), 6 of which are core courses, 2 are program elective courses, and 2 are business courses. The student could also do a research project in lieu of one program elective. Upon completion of the 6 core courses of the program, students will be offered two certificates from Abu Dhabi University, the first one is a Certificate in Project Management Fundamentals, and the second is a Certificate in Advanced Project Management.

The new program accepts students with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, or information technology.

“ADU has achieved an incredible amount in a short time.”

"ADU has achieved an incredible amount in a short time. When I arrived at the end of 2015 the College of Engineering had just achieved ABET accreditation for several of its programs and today it continues to develop new programs, improve standards, and create a positive academic culture.

One of my strengths is the techniques I have developed to effectively manage groups of students with a mix of experience and backgrounds and, of course, I encourage my students to project manage their own learning.”

Dr. Christopher Preece, Professor of Project Management

Tuition is based upon the College and/or Department classification as opposed to the course classification or level. Tuition rates for undergraduate students vary from the tuition rates for graduate students.

The tuition fee calculations are an example only and are based on the assumption that elective courses will be taken with the College that the student is taking their major with. However, if the student selects elective courses outside of this College, the total cost payable may increase or decrease to reflect the tuition rate of the College where the elective is delivered.

Costs of books and supplies are not included in the Tuition and Fees. Students at Abu Dhabi University are also required to pay certain fees and other costs to attend the University. Abu Dhabi University reserves the right to change tuition and fee rates at any time. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.

For more information, please click here to view the University's tuition fee structure. Fees are subject to change during the year as per government charges and testing bodies.
