In response to the ever-changing political and social landscape in the Middle East, this stimulating program offers a theoretical and practical legal degree delivered in Arabic. As well as enabling you to understand the role of law in society, it will allow you to practice law and provide an excellent stepping stone to other careers. The program will provide you with legal awareness and understanding, together with skills of legal analysis and methods to enable you to address national and international legislation, disputes and other legal matters.

The program will strengthen your understanding of the role of law in business, increase your appreciation of politics and government, as well as develop your critical thinking skills through discussions about change and reform.

You will develop a recognition of subject-specific language and terms used in law and Sharia and interpret and contextualize the application of law and Sharia. You will study the differences between legislation, jurisdiction and legal cases and be able to produce legal articles and reviews.

The program, which is taught in Arabic, utilizes innovative teaching and a forward-thinking approach to ensure it remains at the forefront of legal education and also instils Islamic values, a desire for life-long learning and provides important skills in research methodologies.

Professional collaborations with the UAE’s Ministry of Justice, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Public Prosecution Department and Dubai Attorneys & Consultants Association open up a variety of opportunities for you during the course of your studies and upon graduation.

“I hope to leave my fingerprint on ADU.”

“After several years working in different sectors, I realised that the field of law was my true passion.  After carrying out some research to find the best place to study for a Bachelor in Law, I came across Abu Dhabi University and was impressed with its accreditations and world rankings.

In terms of my program, I’m receiving the highest standards of education: the facilities are great and the professors are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. The co-curricular activities get students involved in so many seminars and conferences, giving you the opportunity for real-world application of what you’re learning on an on-going basis.”

Tuition is based upon the College and/or Department classification as opposed to the course classification or level. Tuition rates for undergraduate students vary from the tuition rates for graduate students.

The tuition fee calculations are an example only and are based on the assumption that elective courses will be taken with the College that the student is taking their major with. However, if the student selects elective courses outside of this College, the total cost payable may increase or decrease to reflect the tuition rate of the College where the elective is delivered.

Costs of books and supplies are not included in the Tuition and Fees. Students at Abu Dhabi University are also required to pay certain fees and other costs to attend the University. Abu Dhabi University reserves the right to change tuition and fee rates at any time. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.
