Abu Dhabi University has hit a significant milestone, moving up to 27th place in the QS Arab Region rankings, an increase of five places from last year. ADU is making its mark as one of the top universities in the Gulf region in both quality education and research, and this achievement is the result of the collective efforts of all departments and faculty in the university.

A key factor that has raised our ranking is the significant increase in the number of Scopus publications at Abu Dhabi University. QS considers an institution’s Scopus productivity as part of its ranking mechanism and we have grown significantly in this area. In the past year, papers per faculty have increased by 29% and citations per paper have increased by 37%. This year’s publication of research in reputable journals and conferences has played an instrumental role towards this achievement, as well as several other factors. The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) would like to express its appreciation to all faculty members for their outstanding research output over the years.
