BGS Honor Society - Fall 2018-2019 Induction Ceremony

The College of Business’s Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Honor Society Chapter held their Fall 2018-2019 Induction Ceremony on 15 November 2018 during which the top 28 students from the BBA, MBA, and DBA programs were inducted into the Chapter.

The College of Business’s Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Honor Society Chapter held their Fall 2018-2019 Induction Ceremony during which the top 28 students from the BBA, MBA, and DBA programs were inducted into the Chapter. The Chapter actively promotes the BGS principles through its various initiatives including the Distinguished Speaker series and executive shadowing and mentoring program.

Beta Gamma Sigma has over 595 collegiate chapters operating in 160 countries. It inducts about 25,000 new members annually and has over 830,000 members worldwide.  Beta Gamma Sigma turned 100 in February 2013 and is the largest organization in the world to specifically honor business school students and graduates. BGS members have served as CEO of many major corporations including General Motors, General Electric, Ford Motor, most of the major accounting firms, investment firms and major banks. A few current CEOs include: Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway, Maryjo Cohen of National Presto Industries, Robert Niblock of Lowe’s Companies and Rebecca Rimel of the Pew Charitable Trusts.
