The Undergraduate Research Competition (URC) has grown and expanded over the years to encourage a practical approach to academic learning. As it has now expanded to GCC level, it is one of the largest annual events in the region and is in direct support of the UAE government’s drive towards becoming an innovation hub.

As 2019 has been declared the Year of Tolerance by the UAE, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is proud to announce the addition of a new category to the competition - Research on Tolerance. Students will now be able to register for the competition with projects that specifically highlight the essence of the Year of Tolerance. Sub-categories include Community Development Efforts and Impact, Cultural Diversity and Acceptance, Tolerance Regulations, and Workplace Cohesion and Co-existence.

Over AED100,000 will be distributed to the winning teams this year. Students are invited to register before 30 January 2019 to participate in the GCC-wide competition held at ADU.
