The Electrical and Computer Engineering department is recognized for providing quality education and engaging students in extracurricular activities and competitions. A testament to the success of our students took place, when post-graduate student, Marah Al Halabi, received an invitation to showcase her project at the prestigious ADIPEC 2018. Her project, entitled ‘Smart Self-Driving Vehicle’ and supervised by Dr. Ghazal, had won second place at the 2017 Think Science competition, which provided her with an opportunity to attend one of the most important global events, where many professionals, decision-makers, and field experts come together.

Undergraduate students Omar AlTawil, Ahmad Hashi, Mahmoud Bakir, and Omar Aoun were chosen to present their capstone project at the Khalifa Award HQ. The Khalifa Award for Education is an initiative that provides a platform for educational development. It aims to discover talented and successful individuals, encourage outstanding educators, and enhance innovative educational practices at both a local and international level. Their project, entitled ‘Assistive Technologies for the People of Determination on Smart Home Hubs with AI-Based Voice User Interfaces’, was supervised by Dr. Ghazal and received a great response from the attendees and organizing committee.
