ADU Participates at International Qudwa Forum 2019

Abu Dhabi University was represented at Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court organised international Qudwa Forum 2019: Teaching for Global Competence. Qudwa is a forum for teachers, by teachers that aims to elevate the teaching profession in the UAE and improve the future of education. Organized by the Education Affairs Office of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, Qudwa is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Qudwa connects teachers with decision-makers to discuss the education practices that will have the greatest positive impact on students in the UAE.  Qudwa is an important part of the UAE’s forward-thinking, multicultural educational environment, and of its ambition to become a global leader in education with a future-ready education system. Dr. Petra Turkama from the College of Business ran a plenary session on innovation and entrepreneurship in education at the session, as well as facilitated an innovation lab session for international teachers award winners. Other speakers included H.E: Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance for the UAE, H.E. Hussein Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, H.E. Noura bint Mohammad Al Kaabi,  Minister of Culture and Knowledge, H.E: Jameela Al Muhairi, Minister of State for General Education. The event took place at Manarat Al Saadiyat on October 5-6, 2019.
