ADU’s Dr. Sadeka Presents Keynote Speech at International Conference on Modern Trends in Architecture, Arts, Heritage Development Strategies and Education

Dr. Sadeka Abdul Shakour, ADU’s Associate Professor of Furniture & Interior Design, was honored to be invited as a key note speaker at the ‘International Conference on Modern Trends in Architecture, Arts, Heritage Development Strategies and Education in the Mediterranean Basin Countries’.

Dr. Sadeka Abdul Shakour, ADU’s Associate Professor of Furniture & Interior Design, was honored to be invited as a key note speaker at the ‘International Conference on Modern Trends in Architecture, Arts, Heritage Development Strategies and Education in the Mediterranean Basin Countries’. The conference, sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institution, was held in Alexandria, Egypt, from 6-8 November.

During the keynote, Dr Sadeka highlighted the benefits to students of understanding the connection between interior design and architecture and the importance of the collaboration of both programs in research and education. She also discussed the importance of applying theoretical research in experimental practice, allowing the students to have a better learning experience.

Dr Sadeka also presented her own research paper, along with ADU’s Dr. Magdy Ibrahim, titledArchitecturally Inspired Furniture: Creating Furniture Inspired by Masterpieces in Architecture: Application in Advanced Furniture Course.’
