ADU Launches Educational Center for Volunteer Students at ADNEC COVID-19 Testing Center

In line with the UAE’s wise leadership’s efforts in supporting frontline workers, Abu Dhabi University (ADU), in collaboration with Emirati Marshals, has launched an educational center under the slogan ‘Our Duty’ to provide a comprehensive educational environment for students volunteering at the COVID-19 testing center at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

In line with the UAE’s wise leadership’s efforts in supporting frontline workers, Abu Dhabi University (ADU), in collaboration with Emirati Marshals, has launched an educational center under the slogan ‘Our Duty’ to provide a comprehensive educational environment for students volunteering at the COVID-19 testing center at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

Salem Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Community Relations at ADU underscored the importance of this initiative which reflects the deep commitment of both the community and the UAE’s wise leadership in supporting frontline workers during this challenging time. ADU has taken on the initiative to establish the educational center equipped with computers and a robust digital infrastructure that supports students in continuing their educational path while performing their volunteering duties.

He highlighted that these efforts are part of a series of initiatives that ADU has undertaken since the start of the pandemic. Through the newly established center, the university will provide the necessary academic and technical support that helps volunteer students to maintain continuous communication with their educational institutions, and ensure they are on track to fulfill their commitments while also preparing for their upcoming exams.

Saif Al Dhahab, head of volunteers for the Emirati Marshals program, commented on the joint efforts: “We value ADU’s initiative to launch this center which represents a vital addition to the pioneering community efforts in supporting frontline workers. Our volunteers are going above and beyond to provide a safe healthcare environment for COVID-19 patients, and they deserve our unwavering support.”

He stressed that the Emirati Marshals and ADU’s cooperation will have a significant impact in supporting national efforts to combat the pandemic, enabling continuity of education for volunteering students.
