Showcasing Innovation in Health Sciences: Key Events and Contributions

The College of Health Sciences, with contributions from Dr. Tania Tahtouh and other experts, hosted its inaugural Biomedical and Genetics Symposium, delving into the intersection of genetics, health, technology, and the environment. With leading experts from institutions like DOH, Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center, and Khalifa University, the event featured cutting-edge research, innovative diagnostics, and a student poster competition showcasing emerging talents. At IFCC WorldLab 2024, where Dr. Tania was a key contributor, presentations and workshops fostered collaboration and highlighted the team’s research, now published in Clinica Chimica Acta.

The Synergy in Action: Environmental and Public Health Nexuses symposium, supported by Dr. Tania, brought holistic health to the forefront with engaging activities promoting physical, mental, and environmental well-being. Meanwhile, the Mubadala-ADU Collaborative Awards celebrated projects like "AI-Powered Wellness," which supports dietary interventions for chronic disease management. This app was later showcased at the Applied Research Open Day by Mubadala, a proud moment for Abu Dhabi University, demonstrating interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in healthcare.
