Profile Details
Dr. Ilias Kampouris joined Abu Dhabi University in 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of the Aegean, Greece. His research interests are broad, covering corporate finance, econometrics, statistics, social network analysis, fintech, blockchain, machine learning, and deep learning. He focuses on portfolio optimization, market volatility effects on different sectors and channels, financial contagion and interdependence in the global financial environment, forecasting the risk of financial contagion with early warning systems, and finance using social network analysis.
He has published numerous papers in scientific journals, including the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Review of Applied Economics, and the International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy. He has also reviewed manuscripts for over 15 journals.
