With the world of business and government facing change on an unprecedented scale both regionally and globally, it is more important than ever for organizations to be flexible and adapt quickly to these changes – and this requires strong and strategic leadership.
Focusing on leadership, strategy, change management, organizational behaviour and research skills this program, unique in the region, is specifically designed for experienced, senior, high-calibre professionals and executives. It will develop leaders able to influence sustainable organizational transformation in the UAE, the region and globally.
By joining this executive education program, you can expect to strengthen your leadership skills, sharpen your strategic thinking and become inspired to lead high-performing teams and achieve your leadership ambitions. With an emphasis on the practitioner perspective, you will focus on real-life challenges drawn from your own professional experience, addressing organizational issues in a sustainable and cross-cultural context which will help raise your leadership profile within your organization.
A powerful component of this program is the Contemporary Issues in Leadership module. This elective brings a further practical dimension to the program through lectures and discussions with influential business and political leaders during a one-week overseas field trip. The aim is to expose you to the challenges faced by international leaders and enable you to draw parallels to your own organization’s issues.
Italy is the destination for our 2018 trip. Students will meet with a senior figure to discuss relations between the Vatican and the Muslim world, the Chief Human Resources Officer of the World Economic Forum, the Chief International Relations Officer for Milan Expo 2015, senior diplomats and other leading figures.
The program has a Fall intake for Abu Dhabi and Spring intake for Dubai.
"The MSL program is preparing leaders for the coming disruption.”
"My focus is on innovation and how organizations respond to change and move forward. A major success factor in this is leadership and I have developed the ‘C.L.E.V.E.R’ framework to show organizations how to proceed. This focuses on what is important right now, specifically relating to the fourth industrial revolution – digitalization. Less than 20% of leaders globally are aware of how this can and will affect their businesses.
The nature of strategic leadership is changing rapidly, along with the technologies that are driving this change. The MSL program is preparing leaders for the coming disruption, examining the importance of agile management and what it means to be a leader in the digital world, how to harness technological advances and get ready for the transformation the technological revolution will inevitably bring."
