Dean's Message
Welcome to the College of Engineering at Abu Dhabi University.
Engineering begins with a question: how can we make life better? At our College, students and faculty explore that question through learning, design, and research that address challenges in the UAE and beyond. Our programs span engineering, computing, architecture, interior design, aviation, and technology. Through laboratories, studios, internships, and industry partnerships, students gain the knowledge and experience to turn ideas into practical solutions.
Quality is central to our work. Our programs hold national accreditation through the UAE's Commission for Academic Accreditation, and Abu Dhabi University holds international institutional accreditation from WSCUC. ABET-accredited engineering and computing programs are offered at both our Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses. Our Bachelor of Architecture has received RIBA Part 1 validation, while the Master of Project Management and Master of Engineering Management have earned accreditation from the Association for Project Management.
Research is another source of pride. Our faculty and students work across disciplines and with industry in areas including artificial intelligence, sustainability, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Their achievements include published research, patents, and recognition in student research and innovation competitions.
Our international partnerships broaden these opportunities. We collaborate with leading universities on research and offer student exchanges, study abroad, and joint degree pathways. Learning alongside peers and researchers in other countries brings fresh perspectives to their work and prepares them for careers that cross borders.

- All our programs are accredited both nationally (by the UAE Ministry of Education - Commission for Academic Accreditation) and internationally.
- We are the only university in Abu Dhabi to offer a professional degree in Architecture at undergraduate level.
- We are the first architecture program in the UAE to have international accreditation/RIBA Part 1 validation from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
- We have nine bachelor's and eight master's programs in the engineering and technology fields to choose from including mechanical, chemical and civil engineering, computer and electrical engineering, information technology, engineering management, project management, aviation, as well as architecture and interior design.

- An extensive, state-of-the-art engineering laboratory infrastructure - among the best in the UAE – includes discipline-specific lab facilities, with the recent addition of a mechanical engineering research lab and bio-imaging lab.
- Our internationally acclaimed research bio-imaging laboratory is the only one in the UAE and is affiliated with the bio-imaging laboratory at the University of Louisville in the USA.
