The program introduces a breadth of topics from traditional and renewable power plants and electrical power distribution grids, to 5G communication networks, smartphones, agile robots and aircraft control systems. You will specialize in robotics and automation, the major driving forces behind economics development now and in the near future.

This program will provide you with a strong technical background in the key subjects of electronics, power engineering, signal processing, communications, control, embedded systems, robotics, and automation. After building a robust electrical engineering foundation, enabling you to operate as a well-rounded electrical engineer, you will be able to specialize in robotics, sensors and actuators, instrumentation, computer vision, and image processing, and acquire in-demand skills.

Developed according to the standards of international professional bodies such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE), this program ensures you will be uniquely qualified to design, analyze, and test wide-ranging solutions for state-of-the-art electrical and electronic systems.

Tuition is based upon the College and/or Department classification as opposed to the course classification or level. Tuition rates for undergraduate students vary from the tuition rates for graduate students.

The tuition fee calculations are an example only and are based on the assumption that elective courses will be taken with the College that the student is taking their major with. However, if the student selects elective courses outside of this College, the total cost payable may increase or decrease to reflect the tuition rate of the College where the elective is delivered.

Costs of books and supplies are not included in the Tuition and Fees. Students at Abu Dhabi University are also required to pay certain fees and other costs to attend the University. Abu Dhabi University reserves the right to change tuition and fee rates at any time. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.

Electrical engineers with robotics and automation backgrounds are highly employable and can find work in many industries including electronics, automotive, IT, telecoms, manufacturing, energy, transport, aerospace, government, utilities and construction. Robotics has been established by the UAE Future Foresight Foundation as one of the highest job growth areas.

Graduates of this program have gone on to work in a wide range of companies including the UAE Armed Forces, Etisalat, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, the Ministry of Education, Drake and Skull International, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and many electrical engineering contracting and consulting companies.

Completing a total of 7 subjects from either IGCSE level or AS/A2 levels, in at least 4 of the following fields: Mathematics, Languages, Sciences, Social Studies and Humanities, Art and Design; with a minimum required grade of C for the IGCSE level subjects, D for the AS Levels, and E for A2 subjects.

Successfully provide evidence / certificate of completing at least 11 years of schooling.
