The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department continued their winning streak in the Smart Mobile Application Contest (SMAC), the longest running and most competitive mobile application contest in the UAE. Tasnim Basmaji, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Ghazal, was awarded second place and AED 20,000 for her project entitled ‘Localized Assistive Scene Understanding Using Deep Learning’.
