ADU Students Grab 2nd Place at 2018 ADIPEC University Program Competition
Students from the Chemical Engineering department were awarded second place in the 2018 ADIPEC University Program Competition held in conjunction with the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Students from the Chemical Engineering department were awarded second place in the 2018 ADIPEC University Program Competition held in conjunction with the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Amira Rasheed Ismail, Archana Thomas, Liyan Qalyoubi and Maha Ajmal, guided by their mentor Prof. Ioannis Zuburtikudis, took part in the three-day event, competing against 17 teams from major universities throughout the MENA region. “I am very proud of our students, since they had to research the topic in a relatively short period of time, prepare their presentation and defend their thesis” added mentor Prof. Ioannis. This year’s challenge concerned the successful transition from crude oil to chemicals (COTC) in the oil & gas industry.
