College of Engineering Students Dominate Future Generation Competition

ADU’s electrical and computer engineering students dominated the Future Generation Competition during Middle East Electricity, the leading international trade event for the power industry sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Energy.

ADU’s electrical and computer engineering students dominated the Future Generation Competition during Middle East Electricity, the leading international trade event for the power industry sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Energy. Three undergraduate and postgraduate teams, supervised and supported by Dr. Anas Altarabsheh, Dr. Mohammed Ghazal, Eng. Tasnim and Eng. Marah, won three top places for the third year in a row.

Mohammed Mohieb, Rami Mustafa, Osman Ahmad, and Ahmad Elfatih were awarded first place in the People’s Choice and second place in the Judges’ Choice categories for their ‘Photovoltaic Energy for Seawater Desalination in the UAE’ project. Yazan Barham and Abdullah Zourob took second place for their Project ‘Viability Study of Photovoltaic Modules Floating on Water Lakes in Abu Dhabi’.

A total of 50 projects were submitted by ADU, UAEU, University of Wollongong, HCT, RIT, AUS, UoS, Manipal University, and KAUST.
