ADU Student Ranks 4th in Asia
Abdullah Mohammed Al Salmani, a 2nd year Electrical Engineering student on the Al Ain Campus, recently achieved rankings of #4 in Asia and #8 in the world for the adult male white belt NO-GI Jiu Jitsu level, according to the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation.
Abdullah Mohammed Al Salmani, a 2nd year Electrical Engineering student on the Al Ain Campus, recently achieved rankings of #4 in Asia and #8 in the world for the adult male white belt NO-GI Jiu Jitsu level, according to the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation. The white belt level is the first of five levels in jiu jitsu and NO-GI refers to competing in non-traditional uniform. Abdullah said that he enjoys participating in this sport because it builds self-confidence and increases emotional stability.
