BGS Lecture on Government Intervention in FDI

Dubai campus master’s students were honored to receive a guest lecture from Mr. Shawn Davis, College of Business Advisory Board and ADU Beta Gama Sigma Chapter member, on government intervention in foreign direct investment (FDI). The students, who are enrolled in the International Business Management course taught by Dr. Anne van Ewijk, analyzed the motives for governments to intervene in international trade and FDI, including a discussion on specific trade interventions and international trade agreements. Mr. Davis shared various real-life incidents of government intervention in international company acquisitions.
