The first Flash Fiction Writing Competition, organized by the Academic Success Center in collaboration with University College in celebration of the Year of Tolerance, required students to write a two hundred word story related to ‘Tolerance.’  The aim was to get students to envision what the world would look like if we all practiced tolerance and what it would look like if we did not. Thinking innovatively, the participants came up with compelling stories containing well developed characters, dialogues, and a climax in a creative format. The stories were evaluated by a panel of expert judges on the basis of originality, grammatical accuracy, and fluency.
