Members of the ADU community proudly joined the ‘Walk for Education’ organized by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and Dubai Cares.
The early risers arrived at Dubai Creek Park on 14 February for a 9am start. The Walk, with the slogan ‘Walk the Distance, Make a Difference’, aimed to deliver a loud and clear message to the world about the importance of providing safe schooling to children and young people around the world who are deprived of the opportunity to learn.
The Walk, hosted by Saif Abdulla with DJ Keza on the decks, was an energetic, colorful, and carnival-like affair appealing to all ages. Roaming performers raised the energy levels before the Walk began, as well as along the route. Adding to the atmosphere, Dubai Police band, Kharsha Drums, and Agha Khan Scouts and Guides band performed along the way.
