Abu Dhabi University (ADU)'s College of Engineering signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mott MacDonald, a global engineering, management and development consultancy, with the aim of advancing students' research and innovation skills in the field of engineering.

In conjunction with the UAE Innovation Month, Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) faculty members, students, and alumni participated in the Quantum Innovation Summit Dubai 2024, which took place from 28^th to 29^th of February 2024, to exchange knowledge and expertise with subject matter experts in the field. Organized by Vernewell Academy, the event aimed to bridge connections between international stakeholders and the local community, as well as foster collaboration between academia and the quantum industry.

In line with Abu Dhabi University's (ADU)commitment to academic excellence, ADU hosted the first Times Higher Education (THE) MENA Reputation Forum, which was held on the 13^th of February 2024 at its Al Ain campus. In the participation and attendance of 200 representatives of over 75 institutions from 20 countries in the MENA region and beyond, the Forum delved into the importance of building and maintaining an institute's academic reputation within a global context.

In a bid to foster innovation among school students, Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) College of Engineering - Al Ain campus hosted its first ever RoboCar Maze Competition under the theme 'Mechatronics: The Future of Mechanical Engineering,' with the participation of over 72 students representing 18 schools from Al Ain City. The competition sponsored by the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and was attended by TII representatives who were impressed by the students’ innovation and creativity.

Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) College of Law and Contractus House LTD UK, a consultancy company specialized in legal and strategic services, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing students' knowledge, skills, and capabilities in the legal field. The MoU will witness both parties collaborate to train future lawyers and enhance their educational experience to prepare them for their future careers.

In an important step towards the UAE's strategic vision of building a globally competitive knowledge-based economy, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and United Al-Saqer Group (UASG) LLC signed a cooperation and funding agreement to establish a state-of-the-art scientific research center, which will prepare specialized researchers in several development sectors to meet the requirements of the next 50-year agenda. Reflecting its continuous excellence in research and innovation, Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Professor Montasir Qasymeh, Associate Provost for Research and Academic Development and Professor of Electrical Engineering, received a patent in the field of quantum technology from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Abu Dhabi University (ADU)’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), announced that the University has achieved 3,000 research publications in the international Scopus Index, with exponential growth in the past five years. With 80% of ADU’s publications issued in the Q1 and Q2 categories, the research represents a hallmark for top-tier universities around the world. The 3,000 publications cover multidisciplinary themes, including engineering and technology, health science, business, finance, and economics.

In line with Abu Dhabi University’s (ADU) dedication to fostering innovation, the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Creed & Bear Network L.L.C (C&B), a DataTech company that specializes in providing secure and cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) software solutions penetrating in the finance space. The MoU aims to establish a solid international collaboration in the fields of research, academics, and Fintech.

In line with Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) commitment to enabling excellence in STEM education and fostering innovation among students and the wider community, ADU's College of Engineering concluded its third annual STEM Programming Competition in November 2023. The competition witnessed the participation of over 830 school students from 68 schools, divided into more than 140 teams. The event took place at ADU's main campus, Al Ain campus, and virtually, where 20 teams were awarded trophies and monetary prizes.

In line with its commitment to fostering a sustainable future in the educational sector, Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Chairman, Dr. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, announced strategic partnerships on the sidelines of the ‘International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures 2023’ which took place in Dubai on the 5^th and 6^th of December 2023.

In line with its commitment to exchange knowledge and expertise with leaders in the academic field, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) concluded the ‘International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures 2023.’ The event commenced with an insightful opening remark delivered by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Vice President of ADU’s Board of Trustees.

Between 2020 and 2023, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) marked a significant advancement in the field of sustainability research and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Where faculty members achieved key milestones, by securing 29 research grants for their dedication to sustainability. Out of the 29 grants, 24 received internal funding from ADU’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and five research projects received successful funding from several organizations such as ASPIRE fundings the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) and Mubadala Investment Company.

In line with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability and the directives of His Highness President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) launched an integrated system of academic and community initiatives, aimed at fulfilling the UAE’s directions and vision to host the 28^th United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP28) Climate Change Conference.
