In line with its commitment to exchange knowledge and expertise with leaders in the academic field, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) concluded the ‘International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures 2023.’ The event commenced with an insightful opening remark delivered by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Vice President of ADU’s Board of Trustees.

Between 2020 and 2023, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) marked a significant advancement in the field of sustainability research and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Where faculty members achieved key milestones, by securing 29 research grants for their dedication to sustainability. Out of the 29 grants, 24 received internal funding from ADU’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and five research projects received successful funding from several organizations such as ASPIRE fundings the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) and Mubadala Investment Company.

In line with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability and the directives of His Highness President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) launched an integrated system of academic and community initiatives, aimed at fulfilling the UAE’s directions and vision to host the 28^th United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP28) Climate Change Conference.

The Conference is in collaboration with the World Health Organization, the International Society of Environmental Geotechnology, and leading universities worldwide and sponsored by Emirates Red Crescent, Emirates Global Aluminum, and Adeeb Group.

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and Xanadu Quantum Technologies, a leading Canadian quantum computing company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the quantum computing educational capacities, and provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the rapidly evolving field of quantum technologies.

In line with its ongoing efforts to advance education in the UAE, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) to enhance educational development across the region. In line with Abu Dhabi University’s (ADU) commitment to delivering high-quality educational experiences to its students, ADU’s College of Health Sciences signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Unilabs, one of Europe’s leading medical diagnostics companies, offering a complete range of laboratory, pathology, genetics, and imaging services to patients across four continents.

As part of Abu Dhabi University’s (ADU) Innovate Strategy (ADUi) efforts focused on accelerating sustainable and innovative agricultural solutions, ADU inaugurated its first on-campus AirFarm, an inflatable and portable farm, in collaboration with Midbar, a smart ag-tech South Korean company and H.E. Rashed Bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri Holding company (RBK). This inauguration is a result of a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between ADU, Midbar, and RBK, to establish a business framework for delivering supply and Research and Development (R&D) solutions to the UAE market across several sectors. These sectors include but are not limited to agriculture, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), health, and water desalination.

Focused on continuously evolving its programs and offerings to deliver a well-rounded academic experience for students, Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) College of Business has rolled out five new undergraduate degrees accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), a UAE Federal Government Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. In line with the in-demand skills for the current market, the programs are designed to empower students to grow, succeed and prepare for their future careers.

Abu Dhabi University’s (ADU) and Al Nahda National Schools (ANNS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enrich students' understanding of university life and academic disciplines. The collaboration will involve a range of initiatives designed to enhance students’ awareness of their academic interests and preferences. This time, ADU is once again recognized by the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 (THE), ranking 13^th best university globally, among the Top 20 Small Universities in the World, out of 81 academic institutions across 33 locations. The ranking comes in line with the University’s continuous endeavors to introduce competitive and accredited programs that align with the UAE Government’s National Agenda and top global rankings. It also signifies the University’s receipt of international recognition for its renowned curricula, innovative learning environment and exceptional educational offerings.
